Orange County Food Trust

Orange County Food Trust is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in January 2024. Our mission is to serve the needs of local growers, producers and consumers by aggregating and distributing goods, services and healthy local food choices at fair value. We combine our resources with other community partners to provide nutritional food from farms to friends.

Our Programs
Food is Medicine
We partner with organizations like Purdue Extension and Hoosier Uplands to provide nutritious meal kits to those enrolled in nutrition programs. This program aims to prevent diet-related disease.

Farms to Friends Farm Stands
We also operate a farm stand during the growing season in Orange, Lawrence, and Crawford counties. The farm stand brings local, fresh produce to people in our region who need it most — families, seniors, and individuals in food deserts. Learn more on our farm stand page.

Community Events
We often partner with local organizations for community events, such as the community Thanksgiving dinner, community garden days, food preserving classes, baking classes and senior soup dinners at Lost River Co-op & Cafe.
